Eugene

Located in the south end of the Willamette Valley. Home to more than 156,185 people, Eugene is the second largest city in Oregon. It lies between Skinner Butte to the north of downtown and Spencer Butte to the South. The senenic Willamette River running through the heart of Eugene and then joining the McKenzie River just north of town. Eugene Oregon is home to The University of Oregon, the university is home to the Northwest-focused Museum of Natural and Cultural History and the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, known for its Asian collections. The city integrates the surrounding natural environment through extensive parks and path systems, so no matter where you stay in the city, you’re immersed in dynamic beauty of the great Northwest. It is no wonder it is “A Great City for the Art and Outdoors.”

SPringfield

Located at the south end of the Willamette Valley, east of Eugene, it is believed that Springfield Oregon is the famous “Typical American Town” behind the acclaimed Twentieth Century Fox Film “The Simpsons.” Check out the life-sized Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie at the Springfield Museum. While you are checking out Downtown Springfield make sure you stop by the new Simpson mural on 5th and Main St.

The Eugene, Cascades & Coast Adventure Center and Cabela’s Outfitters also chose Springfield Oregon as their home. With the Willamette and McKenzie River on the north and south side of Springfield, it is a natural gateway to the region’s outdoor adventures. Springfield has the best location to cater to the large number of outdoor enthusiasts that pass through the community each year.

Cottage Grove

Cottage Grove is approximately 22.5 miles south of Eugene just off of I-5. Smaller than Eugene and Springfield with an easy commute to both. A great resource for outdoor recreation. Home to Cottage Grove Lake and Dorena Lake, numerous campgrounds and parks, historic Covered Bridges, and an impressive paved bike route perfect for bicycle enthusiasts.

McKenzie River

Feel the exhilarating tingle of fresh air and rushing water as you journey into the Cascade Mountains along the McKenzie River. Revel in the solitude among sun-soaked old-growth forests, then find camaraderie in the half dozen riverside communities.

Oakridge

Oakridge, and its companion town Westfir, is the ultimate basecamp for outdoor adventurers. Above the fog and below the snow line, these communities offer a year-round paradise of outdoor thrills.
